Description

Land For Good (LFG) provides consulting services to individuals and entities. Some of these services are provided at no charge; for others we charge a fee. These are described more fully here.

Contracts

Services for which LFG charges a fee will require a signed contract, one copy of which is kept by LFG and one by the Client. Amendments to the work described in the contract will be in writing and attached to the contract. The contract will specify the work and the amount to be billed. The client will have the opportunity to review and approve the contract before signing.

Fees and Payment

Fees will be explained in the Client’s contract. By signing the contract, the Client agrees to pay the full fee according to the payment plan selected in the contract. LFG will invoice the Client. LFG offers sliding scale and cost share options to enable every client to receive services. Our sliding scale is $60-$90/hour; it is up to the Client to determine an appropriate hourly rate. We do not ask for Client income or other financial information. Cost-share is based on a discussion between the Client and LFG staff. It is expected that clients pay at least a modest portion of the fee.

Confidentiality and Privacy

All information provided by the Client to LFG is held in confidence. The nature or content of all discussions will not be shared with other parties without the Client’s written consent. With Client’s permission, LFG may discuss this case with other providers involved, including via online communication like email or other online project management tools.

Deliverables

All documents (reports, maps, etc.) produced by LFG under a valid contract will be the Client’s property and will not be shared by LFG with any other party without the Client’s express permission. The Client has the right to inspect and review all materials associated with Client’s case.

Feedback and Comments

Data supplied by Client may be used by Consultant in aggregate form for monitoring and evaluation purposes, but will not be linked to the Client in any way without the Client’s prior written consent. In order to improve the quality of LFG services, Clients may provide evaluation feedback when solicited. Similarly, staff sometimes request permission from Clients to use their comments on the Site or in other LFG materials for marketing and reporting purposes. These comments will only be used if permission is granted and at the level of anonymity requested by the Client.

Limitations

Please be aware that LFG does not provide legal advice. Always consult with an attorney or financial expert regarding specific matters outside LFG’s expertise. Any referral by LFG to a third party, other organization or linked website does not constitute an endorsement by LFG of the activities or views of that individual or organization.

LFG’s materials are for educational purposes only. LFG is not responsible for actions taken by users of our materials. Information in our publications and on our website may become outdated. Always consult with the appropriate professional advisors before taking action.

We may work with other service providers to facilitate our services. We will only provide your personally identifiable information directly to them with your prior approval.

Lack of Security in Email Exchanges

Because of rapidly changing technology and the insecure nature of email, confidentiality cannot be assured in any email exchange.

Other Uses

We may employ outside companies and individuals to perform functions on our behalf, such as website hosting, data analysis, and providing customer service. These companies and individuals will only have access to personally identifiable information needed to perform their functions, and may not use it for any other purpose.
